The upcoming retro-inspired MMORPG Monsters And Memories has officially announced the launch of its Beta phase, scheduled to begin on March 1st. This marks a significant step towards the game's planned Early Access release in June 2026. The Beta period is expected to last for three months, focusing on extensive testing across both PvE and PvP environments.

A key feature of the Beta rollout is a new lottery system designed to grant access. Starting at the beginning of Beta, the developers plan to admit 200 new players each week for ten weeks. Each selected winner will receive a guest invite, allowing them to bring a friend into the Closed Beta. This system aims to bring approximately 4,000 additional participants into the testing pool, which currently consists of over 11,000 opted-in players.

Players interested in participating must opt-in through the official channels. Selection notifications will be sent via email. All 2,000 existing Alpha testers will be automatically transitioned into the Closed Beta. The testing environment will feature Fresh Start servers for both PvE and PvP, with at least two Open Playtests scheduled before the Early Access launch.

The development team has outlined several important policies for the Beta phase. Content creation and streaming are permitted for all participants. However, the team will enforce strict rules against botting, automation, and selling Beta invites. The game's Play Nice Policies will be active, and violations could result in removal from the Beta. Group play is encouraged, as boxing will not be allowed.

While GM support will be limited during this phase, the developers note that comprehensive logging systems are in place to monitor the game. Feedback from Alpha testers will continue through specific Discord channels, while new Beta invitees will use general channels for their reports. The team also requested that Alpha testers avoid spoiling high-level content not yet seen in the Beta.
