Project Gorgon Patch Fixes Firewall and Bugs

The latest patch for Project Gorgon addresses a critical connectivity issue and delivers a range of bug fixes across the game world. The primary focus of this update is resolving a problem where Windows Defender Firewall blocks the game's server connection for some users. The development team identified that the game was making an HTTP web call at startup instead of an HTTPS call, which likely triggered Microsoft's new security requirements. This has been corrected in the patch. As a workaround, players can whitelist the game manually, requiring HTTPS access and TCP port 9003 access to *.projectgorgon.com.

Beyond the firewall fix, the patch introduces several improvements to the Statehelm zone. Players can now cook in the Goblin's Armpit, and a post office wall that allowed characters to walk through it has been repaired. The update also addresses random camera zoom issues and makes Chancellor Algest easier to click on. A duplicate cow named "Flowers" has been replaced, and a bug causing Dice Games in Statehelm to pay out zero councils has been fixed.

In Eltibule, the placement of horse race checkpoints and speed boosts has been improved. The drawbridge has been lifted out of the dirt, and wall torches are now properly aligned to their walls.

Several high-level ability scaling issues have been corrected, including Toxic Flesh, Sic 'Em, First Aid, Doe Eyes, Lend Grace, Toughen Up, Song of Bravery, Rally, and Anthem of Avoidance. Quests requiring players to kill specific-leveled enemies with particular abilities, most notably Entrancement Practice and Demon Blasting, now function correctly. The Quest Log should always open to the correct quest, and the quest "Blasted Louis" is now given by Denton instead of Fisk.

Item and resistance adjustments include Marvelous Winter Leggings being reduced to level 110 from an unreachable level 1100. The electricity resistance dance buff has been fixed to provide 25% resistance instead of 0.25 mitigation. Wild Endurance now stacks properly in the ability context menu.

Various typos have been corrected in Sir Brooker's preference, the "Mastering Mushrooms" quest, and the Ice Armor enchantment. Summoned Baby Spiders and Zombies no longer despawn when the player mounts. A chime now plays when receiving a Tell from another player, with adjustable sound settings via Settings > GUI > Chat. Spider footstep sounds have been adjusted to remove a distracting noise, and sideways-facing particles for some Bat abilities have been fixed.

Necromancy-raised Flapskulls no longer hurt players; their rage attack is now a one-time AOE that applies a DoT and increases Max Rage by 10%. Embrace of Despair no longer deselects the target, and Necrotic Grasp resets if it kills the target. The character create screen now displays correct labels instead of "RacialValue" and "SkinDetail."
