ArenaNet announced Guild Wars Afterlife on November 3, and it launches on January 13, 2027 on PC, Steam, the Apple App Store and Google Play. A Dungeon That Changes Every Run
Afterlife sends players to Xotecha, an isle deep within the Mists, to help the Order of the Moonless Night. The Order guides lost spirits through the Unformed, a jungle of shared dreams, before their regret turns them into raging Nightmares. Now a flood of lost souls and a meddling cult have left the Order overwhelmed.
The Unformed is an ever-changing dungeon of jungles, cenotes and floating ruins. Players choose a starting loadout, then face a different lineup of maps, encounters and bosses on every trip, and the story moves forward with each run.

Skill Drafting
Afterlife uses existing characters but adds a skill-drafting system. During a run, players pick new abilities from any profession, beyond their own primary and secondary professions, so each run builds a different skill bar.
Runs earn rewards that help in later runs, plus permanent rewards for use outside Xotecha. The dungeon can be played with friends or with henchmen. Along the way, players meet Ancient Golems, battle Nightmares and uncover the secrets of the Cult of Odran.
