ArenaNet has announced a mobile version of Guild Wars Reforged, bringing the classic MMORPG to smartphones and tablets. The free-to-play app, launching on iOS and Android, will allow players to experience the original Guild Wars: Prophecies campaign with ad support.
Players in Guild Wars 2 and the original Guild Wars community can look forward to cross-platform progression. Existing Guild Wars Reforged owners on PC or Steam Deck can log in with their ArenaNet account on mobile to continue their characters without additional cost or restrictions. New users will start with a Mobile ID and can later convert to an ArenaNet account for cross-platform play, though Steam linking is not supported at launch.
The mobile version features a redesigned user interface and control scheme tailored for touchscreens. The UI is customizable, similar to the PC client. All players share the same servers, enabling cross-play with friends and guilds.
Pricing for additional content is set at $6.99 per campaign (such as Factions and Nightfall), $9.99 for the Eye of the North expansion, and $5.99 for the Bonus Mission Pack. The free ad-supported version covers the full Prophecies campaign.
Regional testing begins soon in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the Philippines. A global launch is planned for summer 2026. Android preregistration is available now on Google Play, with Apple App Store preregistration coming soon.
