The sixth edition of the Leagues in Old School Runescape has seen significant player activity, with many exploring Varlamore and testing new combat builds. The development team has released a detailed overview of known issues, planned fixes, and upcoming adjustments to ensure a balanced experience.
Combat Mastery and Pact Adjustments
The new Combat Mastery system has generated considerable diversity in player strategies. Every pact has been selected at least once, indicating broad experimentation. However, the neutral pacts are receiving targeted changes in this week's game update to address balance concerns. The team is monitoring the Demonic Pacts closely and will implement further adjustments after the initial fixes are deployed.
Known Issues and Clarifications
Several issues have been identified and are being prioritized. A key clarification involves the combat spell regeneration mechanic: when spells regenerate air runes, there is a 15% chance to restore 1 prayer point per rune regenerated. Additionally, the RuneLite Loot Tracker currently counts two implings being caught instead of one due to loot multiplication. Players can verify their actual impling count by right-clicking their butterfly net or magic butterfly net to open the impling tracker interface.
Hunter Rumours and Task Resets
Players using block lists for Hunter rumours should enable back-to-back rumours. The Hunters Guild will default to assigning Jerboa if no other assignments are available. To avoid this, players should complete a single rumour and then request a new one, ensuring they receive their desired assignment.
An additional unlockable reset is being added later this week. This reset will be tied to the 'Defeat Hueycoatl 1 Time' task. Players who have already completed this task will receive the reset automatically after the upcoming game update.
Upcoming Game Update Schedule
The weekly game update will occur on Thursday instead of Wednesday this week, at the regular time with standard downtime. The team will continue to update the known issues list as hotfixes are deployed throughout the day.
Community Engagement
Players can discuss these changes on the 2007Scape subreddit, the Steam forums, or the community-led OSRS Discord in the #gameupdate channel. Official details are available on the Old School Wiki.
