Blizzard Entertainment has announced the official end date for World of Warcraft's current content cycle, marking a critical deadline for players seeking exclusive rewards. The War Within Season Three, along with the Legion Remix event, will conclude on January 20, 2025, ahead of the pre-expansion update for the upcoming Midnight expansion. This cutoff triggers the final opportunity to earn a suite of prestigious achievements, mounts, and cosmetic items before they become permanently unavailable or significantly harder to obtain.

The closure of Season Three directly impacts several high-end gameplay avenues. The raid scene sees two major Feats of Strength becoming unobtainable: 'Ahead of the Curve: Dimensius, the All-Devouring' for a Heroic clear and 'Cutting Edge: Dimensius, the All-Devouring' for a Mythic clear. Furthermore, while mounts like the Royal Voidwing and Unbound Star-Eater will remain in the game, their acquisition methods are changing. The quest chain reward for the Royal Voidwing will be removed when World Of Warcraft launches Midnight on March 2, 2026. The drop rate for the Unbound Star-Eater and other Mythic raid mounts is also slated for a substantial decrease at that time.

Competitive players face a firm deadline for their seasonal pursuits. The Mythic+ leaderboards will lock on January 19 at 10:00 PM PST for North America and January 20 at 22:00 CET for Europe. Ratings that qualify for the elite 'the Unbound Hero' title and achievement will be recorded at that moment, with rewards distributed in the following weeks. Similarly, the current PvP season concludes simultaneously, ending the chance to earn the 'Astral Gladiator' and 'Astral Legend' titles, the exclusive Astral Gladiator’s Fel Bat mount, the Arcane Weapon Illusion, and the full Season Three PvP Elite transmog set. Lower-tier PvP titles like Combatant, Challenger, Rival, Duelist, and Gladiator will also be locked once the season ends.
Concurrently, the limited-time Legion Remix event will also conclude on January 20. This mode offered accelerated leveling and unique collectibles through interactions with the Infinite Dragonflight. Its closure removes a distinct avenue for character progression and cosmetic acquisition. Looking ahead, Blizzard confirmed that World of Warcraft: Midnight is scheduled for a global launch on March 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST. Players who have pre-purchased any edition of the expansion will gain access to a new player housing feature, Delves, ahead of the official release. The impending season end serves as a pivotal transition point, urging the community to finalize their goals in The War Within before the narrative shifts fully toward the mysteries of Midnight.
