The world of Lost Ark has ushered in 2026 with a new limited-time event. Players can now explore Illios Island, a festive location offering unique quests and rewards to celebrate the new year.
The event is designed for both solo adventurers and groups, featuring distinct environments like shimmering crystal shores and ancient caverns. While the two main quests on Illios Island can be replayed for the experience, the primary rewards are granted only once per player roster.
Completing the quest "Together at the End and the Beginning" grants players a New Year Firecracker Chest, a chest containing 10 Regulus's Light Currency, and 5 Menelik's Tomes. The second quest, "Greet the New Year Together," rewards participants with a 2026 New Year's Emote Pack, a New Year Paradise Blessing Chest, and a Legendary Card Pack.
Beyond the quest rewards, a separate vendor offers additional festive items for purchase using Silver. Each of the following items costs 10,000 Silver: the "It's A New Year" Emoticon Pack, two music tracks titled "Gathering Little Lights" and "Dream of Hope," and bundles of 10 Mokoko, Cahni, and Homunculus Firecrackers.
The event announcement also included a retrospective note, acknowledging 2025 as a significant year for the game, highlighted by the defeat of the major antagonist Kazeros. Developers expressed gratitude to the player community, including veteran adventurers and new players, and hinted at more content to be revealed later in the year. The Illios Island event serves as the first new adventure for players in 2026.
