The Summer of Extremes update has arrived for Lost Ark, bringing a new high-difficulty raid, expanded solo content, and seasonal events. This patch focuses on challenging veteran players while providing more accessible options for others.

Kazeros Raid: Act 1 Extreme
The headline feature is the Kazeros Raid: Act 1 Extreme, a three-tier boss fight against Aegir, the Oppressor. Players must complete the main quest "The Way Forward" to participate. The raid offers Normal (Item Level 1720), Hard (Item Level 1750), and Nightmare (Item Level 1770) difficulties, each requiring an 8-player party. All three difficulties share a weekly limit of one entry per Roster.
- Normal and Hard feature an Individual Revival system, allowing each character one revive per attempt.
- Nightmare removes the Individual Revival system for a more punishing experience.
Rewards
Rewards scale with difficulty. Normal mode grants 20,000 Gold and 150 Coin of Fire and Ice. Both Hard and Nightmare modes award 45,000 Gold and 200 Coin of Fire and Ice. A first-clear bonus is available once per Roster, regardless of difficulty. Clearing Nightmare for the first time rewards the Legendary Title: "Lord of Hellfire." Full gold rewards are granted even if the weekly gold-earning slot is already used.
New Crafting NPC: Nunet
A new NPC, Nunet, has been added to major cities. Players can use Coin of Fire and Ice to craft various items, though some items have a per-Roster crafting limit. In Elgacia (Ereonnor), crafting is available via the Mirror of Eternity. Engraving recipes from the Relic Combat Engraving Recipe Selection Pouch cannot be registered or traded on the Marketplace.
Solo Mode Expansion
Solo Mode now includes two additional endgame encounters:
- Kazeros Raid "Act 4: Fortress of Destruction" (Item Level 1700 or higher)
- Kazeros Raid "Denouement: The Final Day" (Item Level 1710 or higher)
Key rules for Solo Mode include 50% of gold being distributed as Character-Bound Gold. Entry Item Level matches Normal difficulty. Solo Mode shares the Gold reward limit and free Bonus Reward count with other difficulties. Once the first Gate is cleared in Solo Mode, that difficulty is locked for subsequent Gates. If disconnected, an entry count restoration ticket is sent via Mail.
Serca Matchmaking Mode
A new Matchmaking Mode for the Shadow Raid "Serca, the Witch of Agony" allows players to tackle the encounter at a reduced difficulty, either solo or with a group. This provides a more accessible path to experiencing this content.
Seasonal Events and Cosmetics
The Summer Night Festival begins on Arkesia's shores, alongside Paradise Season 4. A collection of summer cosmetics, including swimwear skins, is now available in the store. Downtime for the update begins on July 15 at 12 AM PT (7 AM UTC) and is expected to last 6 hours.
